Never mind! LOL I think as I posted my question, you were posting the answer!

The whole night sounded exciting, yet strange, like, it was something to be excited about, but once you were there, you weren't sure you really liked it or cared or ..? you weren't sure how to feel? Was this your first time attending the NBA? I'd like to go some day--despite my previous comment.

I did really enjoy it, but—like most events I attend—I spent way too much time wondering what the heck I was doing there. It's an insecurity I've never been able to shake, and I guess it must have come through in the posts I wrote.

It was my very first NBA, and I'm very glad I went. It was way more exciting than anything I ever saw when I worked in education, which, compared to literature, is like an embarrassing relative no one wants to acknowledge at the family reunion.

Wish I was there!!!
